We talked to Jim Fielder, bassist with Blood, Sweat and Tears, between concerts the other day about his Altec 421A speakers. Here’s what he said.
“The cone doesn’t flap around like in some speakers ..it’s what I call a tight speaker. The first thing I look for is good solid distortion free response and this one has it. Plus, it has a real good bottom end… but not too heavy.”
