RCF (Radio Cine Forniture) is an Italian company with a long history in the design and manufacturing of professional audio products.
- Founding (1949): RCF was founded in 1949 in Reggio Emilia, Italy, by a group of Italian engineers and businessmen. The company’s original name, Radio Cine Forniture, reflected its initial focus on providing radios and cinema equipment components.
- Early Years: RCF was founded to produce OEM speakers and microphones for international companies, as well as selling them under its own brand.
- Commercial Audio – Public Express (the 1950s): In the ’50s, the activity evolved into developing an extensive line of public address products.
- Expansion into Professional Audio (1970s): RCF’s advanced transducer design and manufacturing capabilities established them as a leading European supplier to the growing Pro-Audio and MI industry.
